Plex just raised its Lifetime Pass price by $500

A 300% Increase, and it had been $120 last year!
Plex doesn't actually want you to buy the lifetime pass anymore. By raising the lifetime price to a restrictive $749.99 while keeping the monthly ($6.99) and annual ($69.99) subscription prices exactly the same, they are using decoy pricing. They want to make the recurring subscriptions look highly attractive by comparison. Predictable, monthly cash flow is much healthier for a mature tech company than a single lump sum.
