External player enabled crashes

When I select external player for a film, the screen goes blank then goes to the movie home screen. I can only use internal player and only that will work as long as I have disabled external player in the settings. I really want to use an external player so is there a way to get them working? Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Am using the FS premium app. Thanks.

you don't say which external player you are trying to use, or how many you have tried. More info is what is needed.

I solved this. It was Kodi player that was crashing it. That's now gone!
