2 Connections for recording

What is meant by "2 connections" for better recording. I must be looking in the wrong place for this information. I get hit or miss recordings that may only have a minute or two. People have said you should have 2 connections to fix this, most of the time. What do they mean> Thanks

From your iptv provider you need to ask for another connection. One to watch and one to record and so on
