Tivimate closed captions setting unavailable

Hi I’m trying to configure the size of closed captions on my tivimate account. Keep getting the message unable to open closed captions settings. I’ve read threads where many people were experiencing the same thing. Is this still happening?
 
If you change your player to an external player, and use VLC, you'll have options within that player for your closed captioning. At least that's how I do it.
