Channels skipping back 10-15 seconds

For a few weeks when watching my program skips back 10-15 seconds and then replays
Happens several times per hour
Seems worse when watching 24-7 shows
I’m using IM player for playback
Any ideas for fixing this?

Usually this happens when a player reaches the end of the content it has buffered and insted of showing a loading screen it just replays what is in the cache.
Have you tried increasing the buffer size? Is this IMplayer mobile or for TV? Have you tried any other apps on the same device?
 
I find vlc player to be the most stable with content. I experienced that deja vu 10 to 15 second replay especially with 24/7 content and remember trying pretty much every player that existed to fix the issue. Ended up favoring the VLC codec because it handled the streams better than the rest. Don't remember ever having to tweak the settings but you can. Ott navigator using vlc as the external player has been my go to for a while now.
