Any solution for recording?

Offline
I've searched this forum and have seen lots of problem reports regarding this, but no solutions.

I'm using a Fire TV Stick 3rd generation and TiVi 4.0.0 Premium. Destination is an SMB folder (static IP). Connection is 5G WiFi (45 Mb/sec with IPVanish enabled, 115 Mb disabled). I'm not using debrid.

ONCE, I actually got an entire 1 hour program to record... scheduled recordings stop after 14 to 18 minutes.

I've tried:
  • Disabling sleep on the stick
  • Leaving TV to tuned station to be recorded (which I hope isn't a requirement)
I've seen comments that buffering could be a cause, but I'd be happier with recorded buffering than 14/60 of a program.

Any new ideas?

Thanks, but according to my IPTV provider, that's not the case with them:

This feature has to do with the application you are using. On Tivimate you can record without any need for additional subscription as long as another device is not being used with the same login. As for watching a different channel while doing this, if there's issues then it's also from the app itself. You should also be able to set timers for recording while TV is off provided the service is running in the background.

The inability to reliably record shows is going to be a dealbreaker for me.

the only thing i can suggest is, for your firestick, change it from 5g to 2g wifi as maybe its the connection stability thats causing your problem.
