Upgrade to life time

I am currently subscribed yearly and would like to upgrade to life time. I can't see an option to do that in Google. Do I simply cancel my current subscription and re subscribe as lifetime? What's the current fee for lifetime in cad?

I cant say from first hand experience but my understanding is that the lifetime option appears when any current sub is not renewed

Cancel before it end then sub to lifetime I think it was like 20 USD
