How to Use Kodi for Streaming in 2025 (Beginner to Expert Guide)

Hi Everyone,

I hope all is well! So navigating Kodi is not fun. Anything out there to show some quick
Tips? Like how to search for a movie/tv ! I have done numerous times with no outcome even when name is correct. Also when browsing is there away to get plot of show? Besides navigating it’s been great!
Any help is appreciated!

Kodi can definitely feel confusing at first. Searching usually works best if you use the global search add-on (many builds don’t enable it by default), and sometimes shorter or partial titles work better. For browsing, most skins allow you to view the plot and details by switching the view mode or pressing the info button on a selected show/movie. Once it’s set up properly, navigation gets much easier.
 
Hey Stanley, I hope all is well! Thanks for your reply. Forgive my ignorance what is the global search add on? I have navigated a little better since this last post, but haven’t been watching as much because titles now seem to populate but not play. This all seemed to happen when Amazon disabled Cinema HD, are there any other builds that can be added to Kodi, I’m about to switch to Android box but wanted something in the meantime.
I prefer to be hands on even if it’s entails a little work beyond beginner level. I like to learn for future reference .

Any insight is appreciated!!
