I'm currently using 2.8.5 with no problems and it sounds like you aren't looking for that version. I am also using TV Mate Premium so that may be why that version works for me. I don't know what version of TV Mate you are using.
I don't know that I would advise going to the newer 3.0 download as I found that I lost all connection to my IPTV app when I did. I am using a Firestick. I had to uninstall the new version and reload the older version. All is well now.
Didn't visit Discord often, but when I did, I was one of the innocent newbies. Hahahahahaha!!! But you're right. There were some real cranky pants on there, both members and moderators.
Update: I did some exploring and noticed that the epg is working for some channels and is not working for others. I'm sure they are working on it. I'll just be patient and hang in there. I'm glad to know that I hadn't missed something in the installation.
