To me it seems far eaiser to get a USB Adapter and connecting an external Hardrive to do the recording. You can always transfer thoes recordings to another device. Getting the Firestick to see the NAS as a storage device is going to be a challange.

I would try these steps if you have not already.
Uninstall any TiVimate app's installed
Update the Firestick
Open your Fire TV Stick and select Settings. Then, select My Fire TV
Scroll to About and select Check for Updates
If update is available select Install Update
After install Reboot...
